You set up your team using a fictitious budget of 200 Millions. Just buy 14 to 21 players on our transfer market and line-up your squad with your personal favourites. We`ve assigned a specific transfer value to every player so that you have to think twice how to use your budget most cunningly!

After your squad is complete, it`s your turn to find the perfect line-up for every single one of the upcoming match days. Your team`s score is calculated directly from the success of the real football players you have in your team. This means that after each match day all players in your team will receive certain points for their success. This score is the basis for your own ranking in the position table. You can modify your team at any time for the next match day (it would be most clever to do it quite regularly!), or you just leave your team the way it is - it will enter the pitch in the last saved line-up.

There`s an overall of four tactical positions (Goal, Defence, Midfield, Attack) which can be lined up with four strategies (3-4-3, 4-3-3, 3-5-2, and 4-4-2). It`s your job as the trainer to send the team on the pitch that will probably score the most points. Hint: take a close look at what happens during the event so that you can react to some players` bad shape, injuries etc.

Your squad setup

Take a look at the list of available players and set up your squad. These are the most important regulations:

• You have a budget of 200 Millions Euro to set up your squad.
• You must have a minimum of 14 players and a maximum of 21 players in your squad - otherwise your squad is invalid and won`t be evaluated!

In the beginning you`re obliged to purchase the required number of players for the strategic positions (Attack, Midfield, Defence, Goal). Click on the "plus" symbol at the right margin of the specific position. After you`ve selected a player you can use three icons to change the player, completely remove him or display his profile.

Note: You may not line up your team unless you have a vaild squad. To get one, you must have the required number of players on all positions. In case you haven`t got enough money to complete your squad you will have to sell an expensive player in order to get money to buy several cheaper players.

The team line-up

In the meantime between matches, you may change your line-up at any time, meaning you can always properly react to bad shape, injuries etc. In case more than one of your players cannot play, you may sell and buy players on the transfer market; this change, though, will affect not the running, but the next match day.

Choice of formation

The players are assigned to different tactical positions on the field (goalkeeper, defence, midfield, attack). The following formations are possible:

• 3-4-3
• 4-3-3
• 3-5-2
• 4-4-2

The evaluation

The calculation is performed on the morning after the day on which the last match of the respective match day has been finished. Once a match day is over and has been evaluated, you can take a look at the points your players have gained by viewing your line-up.

The captain

You can name one of your players as captain by selecting him in the dropdown box to the right above your substitutes. You can change your captain at any time. Note: the points your captain has gained during the match will be doubled.

Transfer market

You can modify your squad setup during the whole competition and buy new players on the transfer market. Whenever a game phase (match day or tournament stage) has begun, though, your team has to make it through to the next game phase in its current line-up before actions you performed on the transfer market will affect your team. If a player doesn`t play and gets zero points, your substitute (given you bought one for that position) will jump in and get points instead of him.

The following parameters apply to the different game phases:

Every player receives certain points for his achievements on the pitch, based on the statistic analysis of the match. Depending on their success, players will receive positive or sometimes even negative points for their actions. Several dozens of different categories are evaluated for the generation of a player note.

There are four different rankings:

• Overall ranking users – view on the most successful users of all match days
• Overall ranking leagues - view on the most successful leagues of all match days
• Match day ranking users - view on the most successful users of a specific match day
• Match day ranking leagues - view on the most successful leagues of a specific match day

Q: Does it cost to participate in the game?
A: No, the game is completely for free.

Q: What is the value a player is sold by when I want to sell him?
A: You receive exactly the sum you paid when you were buying the player. This means you won’t win or lose money by a transfer.

Q: Do I receive additional money during the course of the season?
A: No.

Q: Will my substitutes receive points?
A: Maybe. In addition to your active squad you must buy one substitute per position (Goal, Defence, Midfield, Attack). If a player in your starting 11 doesn’t end up scoring, a substitute will automatically be selected in their place.

Q: How do I see how many points my players have?
A: Just select a previous match day when looking at your team line-up.

Q: How can I upload an image for my league?
A: Your pic has to be the following dimensions: 120 x 120 px, format: JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, size: 100 KB max.

Q: How can I publish my team to other users?
A: Click on your user name above the logout button. This is where you can change your profile. Set "Show favourite club to others" to YES.

Q: How can I change my favourite national team?
A: Again, click on your user name above the logout button and then "edit profile". Select your favourite team from the dropdown list.
